In the shadow of Croker
Seán Deegan’s In the Shadow of Croker walking tours dives into the rich, often overlooked history of Dublin’s Northside.
With two distinct experiences, Seán guides guests through either the social evolution of the area surrounding Croke Park or the turbulent events from 1913 to 1922.
Through compelling stories and keen historical insights, he paints a vivid picture of life, struggle, and resilience, all set against the iconic backdrop of one of Dublin’s most cherished landmarks.
Some of the topics Sean includes are: 1913-1923, Lockout to The Irish Treaty, The Irish National Anthem, National Famine Walkway, 2nd Battalion Irish Volunteers Jim Larkin, James Connolly and the Irish Citizen Army.

Review for Seán
A huge thank you for the tour you gave us both. It was fantastic and we both really enjoyed it. The time you gave us and the detail of the area was fascinating. Neither of us had been over to that side of the city before so it was brilliant to see and touch the history of the place. Clonliffe house was excellent.
I shall put Grandpa was a sniper to the top of my readying list when I get back.
It was great to meet you, keep up the fantastic work you do and we will deffo see you again sometime.
