A review for Caroline
I had been planning my dream vacation to Ireland for over a year. I am a former travel agent and planned the whole itinerary myself and was told it was too ambitious for the 2 weeks I had allotted. My main interests in Ireland were horseback riding, beaches, photography and looking up relatives. I specifically asked for a female driver due to some medical issues and was told I was lucky to get Caroline as she was the only woman driver. Caroline was polite, courteous, on time, knowledgeable, etc. which I’m sure describes most of your drivers, but Caroline went above and beyond many times to get me the unique experiences I was looking for, such as jaunting carts (the two wheeled version) at the Gap of Dunloe at Kate Kearny’s cottage, the sheep dog demonstrations at Caherconnell Fort, (I was able to hold the baby sheep), the 911 Remembrance Garden in Kinsale, which I was not aware of but really enjoyed.
She also traipsed thru 3 cemeteries helping me find my great grandfather’s grave and helped me find people who could tell me information about my grandmother’s family in Louisburgh, Mayo. I spent 3 days in Louisburgh looking at the beautiful area my grandmother was from. We stopped and went wading in a few of the beaches, especially Old Head, and Carrowmore where my grandmother lived.
We also spent one morning trying to meet up with my cousin from Arizona who was in Ireland for a few days. Caroline chased him half way across the country, but we were successful and met up with him for lunch. That was another big thing I was hoping I could accomplish. We managed to do everything on my agenda from the National Stud, Waterford Crystal, the Cliffs, Dingle Peninsula, The Ring of Kerry, the Titanic Museum, the Giant Causeway, Achill Island, Donegal, Galway, Kilarney, Bantry, Ashford Castle and the Falcons, horseback riding 5 times. Caroline also helped to locate an abandoned property I might be interested in purchasing.
As you can see, Caroline went above and beyond to make my dream vacation a reality. We became friends on the journey so the trip became just like “a girlfriend’s road trip”. She is a major asset to your company and I highly recommend her to anyone wanting to see the “not so touristy” Ireland. The lady deserves a raise!
