I am a retired secondary school Spanish teacher and have been a licenced guide since 2011. I trained in Washington, DC and am a member of the Guild of Guides of Washington, D.C. In 2020 I moved permanently to Ireland and started my own business, Amble On Tours.

I have recently completed the 3 Irish Tour Guiding courses and expect to have my badge by July, 2024

At the planning stage, Deirde asked us why had we chosen Ireland and what did we want to see. She came up with an itinerary that included everything we mentioned plus more. We got to see places that most tourists never see and between her and our driver, we learned so much about this amazing country.

We considered a big bus tour, but didn’t want to be in with 40 other people and if we had driven ourselves, it would not have gone smoothly at all. Whoever drove, would have missed so much. Having our own personal vehicle, driver and tour guide, who booked our lodging and arranged tickets for all sites, was the best decision we have ever made. The only thing we had to do was enjoy our stay. Deirdre was also very accommodating and flexible when we asked for more or less time at certain sites and she planned free time for us to be on our own. I can’t say enough about having a vacation designed just for us!
